A dream wedding for Katerina & Terry! On the eve of Autumn, this September wedding held at the lovely London Shenley Club, was a delight to capture.
The newlyweds were truly fun loving and were so relaxed and happy on their special occasion; it made us feel so welcome and free to capture the memories for them too. The love and support from their guests was very evident too. Sovp are no strangers to the London Shenley Club, which is formally known as the Shenley Cricket Centre. We have filmed their in the past and the team are excellent and the venues view of the cricket ground; make for a really interesting day with lots of fun aspects to look at too.
We started the film nearby at Sopwell House Hotel, where we met with gorgeous bride Katerina and her bridemaids who were getting ready for the bridal party preparations. This is always a great way to start the story of the day because this is where is all begins!
Once the guests had arrived and Groom Terry was welcoming everyone; the day was in full flow. As an event film company, stayed discreet and simply captured all the fabulous moments that happened to ensure the story was told.
Working alongside superstar photographer Patrick, from Patrick The Photographer, was as always a match made in heaven. His fun, professional and overall happy character made the day even better for us and the guests. We fully recommend all couples meet with him at his studio in Hertford before booking anyone else.
It has been such a pleasure capturing the wedding for these lovely people and we hope they enjoy re-living their wedding day on the screen for many years to come!xView Video & Comments
We think its safe to say that Billie and Luke chose well with their wedding venue! Braxted Park was simply gorgeous, as are these lovely people. A year later than planned, due to Billie and Luke starting a beautiful family, the wedding day was finally here; and SOVP could not wait to start capturing the memories for them.
We were new to Braxted Park Weddings so as film makers its important to be one step ahead, so we visited the venue acouple of the days prior the special occasion to check the place out and to become more familiar. It paid off, as we managed to capture some lovely establishing shots early on in the day to really set the scene.
Filming alongside the really lovely and popular Binky of Binky Nixon photography was great too. We hit it off and managed to both blend in the background whilst the day unfolded and stayed creative all the way.
After the church wedding the party was in full swing. For us the dancefloor was the place to be and we managed to capture some stunning glidecam shots of all the guests celebrating the night away.
BIllie & Luke have been a pleasure to meet and get to know on what really was their special occasion!xView Video & Comments
You really will not meet another couple like Kat & Des. They are wild! They are exactly what life is about. By this we mean, they live for the moment, fun loving, kind, sincere and above all two people very much in love.
We got the call to film their special occasion a week before the big day. After capturing weddings and events for nearly a decade, this was certainly a first for us and, to be honest, at first we were alittle stunned the wedding was coming up so soon when they called us up. But after a conversation with these lovely people on the phone, sure enough the wedding was happening and they wanted us to capture the occasion.
What a unique day it truly was too. The filming started at Kat’s fathers home and that was the setting for the entire day too. The vast garden had a festival feel tipi wedding marquee and the ceremony location by the creek at the end of the garden; was an idyllic location and exactly how groom Des described it on the phone to us.
Once the bridal prep was filmed soon enough the guests were arriving from all the corners of the world to celebrate the occasion with the newlyweds. A highlight for us was definitely the party as everyone was up dancing and partying the night away.
It was a pleasure to be invited to capture this very special occasion and we feel delighted to have been part of the day too. We wish both Kat and Des and their families all the very best in health, wealth and happiness in this new chapter!xView Video & Comments
Capturing the wedding of beautiful Christiana and Renaldo has been a delight.
We were invited along with their guests to Down Hall Country House Hotel which is on the border of Hertfordshire and Essex , and it was wonderful and Grand.
The filming for us started with the bridal prep and groom blessings, where we were met by the the bridal party and grooms family, at their parent home locations, all getting ready for the day ahead. Our style is always natural with a hint of cinematic effect for good measure. Renaldo’s family led a traditional groom blessing to send of the dashing groom into married life.
The Catholic wedding ceremony in Waltham Cross started at 12pm and once Renaldo and the guests soon arrived the day was unfolding perfectly. The ceremony was emotional and when Christiana walked down the ailse with her father I do not think there was a dry eye in the church.
Filming alongside ace wedding photographer Chris from Chris Douglas Photography was, as always, fun and easy. His classic wedding photography is a dream. We have seen his photos from the day too and they are truly amazing.
Love Light Entertainment were on hand to ensure the party was a success and in his usual style the lightshow and sound wowed the crowd and the dancefloor was in constant use and the guests and newlyweds celebrated the night away!
It has been a pleasure being a part of such a special occasion. We hope that the memories captured on film on the day will serve a lifetime of fondness and smiles! xxView Video & Comments
We are not really sure where to begin with this one! What a fabulous occasion the wedding of Stephanie and Joe truly was. These newlyweds are such lovely people and made the day easy for us. Their families and friends were so welcoming too and the wedding venue Colville Hall in Chelmsford was beautiful!
But lets start at the beginning. Bride Steph had contacted us many months before the wedding, to see if we could film her special day and thankfully we were available. Soon enough we had a arranged a pre-wedding video meeting here at the Aston studio. It was lovely to meet the couple in person and their fun loving and caring nature was evident from the start. After discussing their day plans it was clear that the wedding was going to be beautiful and it really was a day we were looking forward to.
The day for us actually started at Down Hall Country House Hotel. This was where the couple were getting ready so we covered shots of the bridal prep and some shorter highlights of the groom prep too. It was then off to the wedding day location Colville Hall and having never been here before, it was certainly a film makers treat. This family home estate was simply stunning and had all the character needed for a romantic wedding film. If you are looking for a barn style wedding with all the trimmings then I would suggest checking out this hidden gem!
Not before long, the guests were arriving, the couple said ‘I do’ and the party was in full flow. It was lovely to work along side White Stag photography. This husband and wife team were easy going and made capturing the day even more fun too. The party was managed by our friends at SPJ Discos and it was a great party too with great lighting and music.
A highlight for us was the couple photo session with that dreamy sunset. It was a good laugh too chatting to the couple inbetween and laughing away whislt we captured some lovely moments of these gorgeous people.
We wish both Steph and Joe and their families all the very best for the future; and thank them for inviting us along to capture the memories for them!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
