Capturing the wedding of beautiful Laura and Miki has been a delight. We were invited along with their guests to Datchworth Village, a gorgeous village in Hertfordshire close to our studio, and it was wonderful and felt like a mini holiday.
The filming for us started at a wonderful bridal suite barn conversion, of Coltsfoot Country Retreat, where we were met by the the bridal party all getting ready for the day ahead. Our style is always natural with a hint of cinematic effect for good measure; and to be honest with the atmosphere and location chosen by the newlyweds; this was all made relatively easy for us!
Miki and the guests soon arrived and the day plan was going perfectly with the Coltsfoot team working to their usual high standards. The ceremony was emotional and when Laura and Miki looked at each other just prior saying their vows, it was clear they were both so happy and excited for their new chapter.
A highlight for us was capturing Laura’s beautiful horse Grace who showed up during the drinks reception. Bride Laura rode Grace and we filmed some lovely highlight shots of her and Grace in the vast land Coltsfoot has to offer.
Filming along side ace husband and wife wedding photographers Belle Momenti was, as always, fun and easy. Their classic wedding photography is a dream. We have seen their photos from the day too and they are truly amazing.
Ian from So Discos was on hand to ensure the party was a success and in his usual style the lightshow wowed the crowd and the dancefloor was in constant use and the guests and newlyweds celebrated the night away!
It has been a pleasure being a part of such a special occasion. We hope that the memories captured on film on the day will serve a lifetime of fondness and smiles! xxView Video & Comments
Its really hard to remember a winter wedding, especially when the weather recently has been so warm. However, Sarah and Karl’s dream wedding at the Luton Hoo Conservatory Walled Garden certainly takes us back to a dreamy winters day wedding in Bedfordshire, UK.
Gorgeous bride Sarah started her wedding day getting ready with the girls (and Dad) at hers and Groom Karl’s lovely home in Dunstable. From the moment the SOVP camera team arrived, we were warmly welcomed and the memory capturing began!
Before we knew it, the bride was ready, the groom was welcoming the guests at the church and the ceremony was soon to happen. The ceremony was at the delightful St Peters Church in the Dunstable town centre and it was very emotional and very tradtional too. The ‘I do’s’ were announced and the confetti was thrown; and we were all off for a party at the Luton Hoo Conservatory Walled Garden. The team were excellent and the atmosphere was simply sky high and filled with love for these newlyweds.
Working alongside photographer Esme Robinson was fun and she was very professional and friendly all the way. A highlight for us was definitely heading out in the evening with the couple and Esme to find some splendid locations for some couple shots before nightfall.
We wish both Sarah and Karl the very best in health and happiness and thank them for letting us be a part of their very special occasion!xView Video & Comments
Stunning couple Kerry and James met up with us at the studio after being kindly introduced to us by their friends (and Sovp previous clients) Stacey and Paul! So it was an honour to know that they both loved our style of wedding film and wanted us to now capture their special occasion.
The day for Sovp started at a lovely village Church close to Newmarket and this would be the setting for the ceremony and the formal vows! It really was perfect and the weather suited us fine with hints of sunshine and clouds. We captured some nice outside establishing shots of the church inside and outside way before the guests and Groom James arrived. We always try to do this because once people arrive the scene changes to the arrivals and the day gets alot more busy!
Once stunning bride Kerry arrived with her father and bridesmaids awaiting her; the ceremony began and it was really gorgeous. One key moment which Kerry asked us about after the wedding was whether or not our cameras had picked up a dark butterfly fly over the couple during their vows. Thankfully it did and this was truly wonderful. Our wide shot camera facing the guests managed to spot it. Have a check if you can see it or not; blink and you might miss it!
After the confetti shot we were all off to the reception party at Swynford Manor in Newmarket. The team their were ace and it really was a fabulous atmosphere from everyone. Working alongside photographer Ben Bull Photography was easy and we both managed to capture our creative shots with lots of laughter from us and the newlyweds.
The party was awesome and it was great to glidecam around the dancefloor to remind the couple and their guests what an electric party it really was!
We wish Kerry and James all the very best in their married lives together and hope that their wedding day film serves as a nice reminder of that wonderful day!xView Video & Comments
It was a pleasure to capture the memories for Jo & Dean. It truly was a day of love, emotion, laughter and although alittle rain, nothing was going to dampen this wonderful occasion.
Stunning Bride Jo had contacted SOVP almost a year before her big day and we could not wait to get planning for the film.
The backdrop, or film set, for the day was the picturesque St Mary’s Church in Baldock for the ceremony and then once the official ‘I do’s’ were said it was off to South Farm for the celebration and wedding breakfast.
A highlight for us was certainly the couple photo session, where we were able to capture some fun loving shots with the newlyweds which feature in the highlights trailer. Inspite of the occasional rain the couple were awesome to be around and film. The atmosphere during the reception was filled with love, joy and laughter throughout the day. The South Farm team along with toastmaster Chris had everything covered and the day ran like clockwork.
We wish Jo & Dean love, good health and of course a true happiness in their married lives together and hope that their wedding film is a cherished keepsake to remember that very special occasion!xView Video & Comments
We met with newlyweds Rosie and Elliot at the studio around 8 weeks before their big day; and from the start it was clear these two were lovely people and a really fun-loving couple too. Over a cuppa we discussed the wedding plans and it was clear that the day was going to be great and full of lovely details too! Which to what we gather Rosie was incharge of!
Rosie and Elliot chose the stunning Lillibrooke Manor in Berkshire to have their wedding day. This gorgeous Barn Wedding in Berkshire was the perfect place for such an a occasion too as it offer exclusivity and also a very rustic ambience.
The film for SOVP started early on at The Riverside Arts Club in Maidenhead. This scenic location was fabulous and was such a nice choice for the special bridal morning preparations to get started. As the day guests and groomsmen arrived our camera teams captured all the moments including a very emotional groom awaiting his bride and also the lovely walk together of Rosie and her proud Father towards the ceremony room.
Once the knot was tied and the drinks were flowing; the day was exactly as planned and filled with love and laughter. A highlight for SOVP was coming along with the couple with their awesome photographers Belle Momenti to capture some memorable couple shots.
Rosie and Elliot have been a pleasure to meet and of course film; and we are proud to have captured their very special occasion. We hope that their wedding film serves as a lasting reminder for many years to come of that perfect day at the manor!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
