We love these two! Clare and Barry (known to his friends as BJ) are such fun loving, vibrant, real and friendly people to be around. This made, capturing their wedding day so much more fun and a great memory for us too, it really did feel like we had known them for years.
The newlyweds were recommended to SOVP by their amazing photographer and friend of ours Marie Wootton of Marie Wootton Photography. After a nice meeting over a cuppa at the studio and discussing the wedding plans; we were booked and could not wait to start planning for the wedding film.
The Civil wedding was all held at the stunning Hitchin Priory in Hertfordshire; and we started in the morning for the bridal preparation shots. Bride Clare was so welcoming and introduced us to the prep room of bridesmaids, mums and flowergirls busy getting ready. From here the film began! Before we knew it, BJ and the groomsmen arrived and the ceremony time was upon us.
A highlight for us was certainly witnessing Clare’s father seeing his daughter for the ‘First Look’ as she was all ready just prior the ceremony. These moments, really are amazing on film, but witnessing them in real life, truly is heart warming.
We enjoyed filming some fabulous shots of Clare and BJ, during their photo session, around the grounds of the Hitchin Priory and even into the town centre! These two certainly make the screen come alive with Clare’s natural true beauty and BJ’s handsome looks. They are very much in love, so this made our job really easy! We could of filmed them all day long!
A quick mention to our friends the Piano DJ, who simply created a fabulous vibe with Tim playing the piano and the DJs in the evening setting the tone for the party.
We wish Clare & BJ and their lovely family all the very best for the future and thank them again for inviting us to attend their very special occasion!xxView Video & Comments
What an amazing wedding! We have been delighted to be a part of Holly & Andrew’s special occasion. A beautiful couple with a really fun loving and relaxed approach made filming their special day at Hanbury Manor’s Garden Court fantastic and memorable.
When newlyweds Holly & Andrew met with us at the studio for their pre-wedding video meeting, which we organise usually the month prior the wedding date, they were really on top of the planning and included some lovely moments for us to capture. A key moment for us was filming the couple during their couple photograph session with fabulous husband and wife team Lisa and Ady from Lilybean Photography. This is always a nice moment to capture some candid natural moments of the couple together on their wedding day.
A very special moment for us and also all the guests was seeing Holly & Andrew’s dog Teddy walk down the aisle too. We even set a special ‘Teddy camera’ on the registrar table to capture this!
Its been a pleasure capturing the special moments for Holly & Andrew and getting to know them too. We hope that their special day remains with them forever on film xxView Video & Comments
What a truly fabulous occasion that newlyweds Katie and Adam invited us to! And we nearly missed it too! Let us explain. Sovp received a call from bride Katie only a week before the big day, yes thats correct, just a week before the wedding and luckily we were available and could not wait to get started and capture the memories for these two lovely people. It only goes to show, that if you decide to have your wedding filmed, even at the last minute, give Sovp a call and we can hopefully help!
The wedding ceremony happened outside the wonderful Japanese Tea House, decorated by the Dress it Yourself company and the Dearman Design Co at Fanhams Hall Hotel. The Tea House is situated in the beautiful vast gardens this venue has to offer and certainly sets the mood for a very romantic ceremony.
The Sovp team started early on in the bridal preparations suite where we met up with Bride Katie and her bridesmaids getting ready. This is always a lovely part to film and gives a real introduction to the day on film. Before long, Groom Adam and the guests were arriving and before we knew it, the I do’s were said, the Dove’s were released and the reception party was in full swing. During the reception, we managed to capture some candid shots of the photos being taken and also the guests having a drink or two.
A big shout out to DJ Barney from Party Events Unlimited too, as always, was a delight to work with and see again.
Spending the day with Katie and Adam and their gorgeous family was a delight and felt really natural and fun. We hope that their wedding film trailer serves as a lovely time capsule; of what was a truly special occasion!xView Video & Comments
Capturing the wedding of beautiful Laura and Miki has been a delight. We were invited along with their guests to Datchworth Village, a gorgeous village in Hertfordshire close to our studio, and it was wonderful and felt like a mini holiday.
The filming for us started at a wonderful bridal suite barn conversion, of Coltsfoot Country Retreat, where we were met by the the bridal party all getting ready for the day ahead. Our style is always natural with a hint of cinematic effect for good measure; and to be honest with the atmosphere and location chosen by the newlyweds; this was all made relatively easy for us!
Miki and the guests soon arrived and the day plan was going perfectly with the Coltsfoot team working to their usual high standards. The ceremony was emotional and when Laura and Miki looked at each other just prior saying their vows, it was clear they were both so happy and excited for their new chapter.
A highlight for us was capturing Laura’s beautiful horse Grace who showed up during the drinks reception. Bride Laura rode Grace and we filmed some lovely highlight shots of her and Grace in the vast land Coltsfoot has to offer.
Filming along side ace husband and wife wedding photographers Belle Momenti was, as always, fun and easy. Their classic wedding photography is a dream. We have seen their photos from the day too and they are truly amazing.
Ian from So Discos was on hand to ensure the party was a success and in his usual style the lightshow wowed the crowd and the dancefloor was in constant use and the guests and newlyweds celebrated the night away!
It has been a pleasure being a part of such a special occasion. We hope that the memories captured on film on the day will serve a lifetime of fondness and smiles! xxView Video & Comments
Its really hard to remember a winter wedding, especially when the weather recently has been so warm. However, Sarah and Karl’s dream wedding at the Luton Hoo Conservatory Walled Garden certainly takes us back to a dreamy winters day wedding in Bedfordshire, UK.
Gorgeous bride Sarah started her wedding day getting ready with the girls (and Dad) at hers and Groom Karl’s lovely home in Dunstable. From the moment the SOVP camera team arrived, we were warmly welcomed and the memory capturing began!
Before we knew it, the bride was ready, the groom was welcoming the guests at the church and the ceremony was soon to happen. The ceremony was at the delightful St Peters Church in the Dunstable town centre and it was very emotional and very tradtional too. The ‘I do’s’ were announced and the confetti was thrown; and we were all off for a party at the Luton Hoo Conservatory Walled Garden. The team were excellent and the atmosphere was simply sky high and filled with love for these newlyweds.
Working alongside photographer Esme Robinson was fun and she was very professional and friendly all the way. A highlight for us was definitely heading out in the evening with the couple and Esme to find some splendid locations for some couple shots before nightfall.
We wish both Sarah and Karl the very best in health and happiness and thank them for letting us be a part of their very special occasion!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
