Knightsbridge with love for Angelica & Hus

Angelica and Hus arranged the most amazing wedding day and SOVP have been very proud to produce their wedding day memories on the screen. Having been introduced to these lovely people many months before their wedding by a another lovely client, it was such a pleasure to meet and chat about the up and coming wedding in the studio here in Aston over a cuppa. Meeting with our wedding couples prior the wedding here at the studio is always a great idea for us. It allows us to get to know them better and understand the hopes and wishes for their day.

The wedding was filmed in Londons Knightsbridge at the very exclusive Jumeirah Carlton Tower. SOVP are no strangers to London Wedding Videography, but like all events, we treat them like its our first and we could not wait to start capturing Angelica and Hus’s dream wedding.

The filming coverage for us was from Intro shots of the venue set up, done perfectly by Perrys Event Planners, and we stayed up until the party was in full swing. A highlight for us was the Turkish Drumming entrance of the Bride and Groom. What a truly memorable atomosphere that was too and features in the highlights trailer too near the end.

We wish both Angelica and Hus all the very best in their future together. We hope that their wedding film serves a lovely reminder of that fabulous occasion in Knightsbridge!x

Forever young in Tipperary with Molly & Luke

It is not often we get to capture a wedding to which we are related to the bride and groom. In this case we were, as SOVP videographer Martin’s brother in-law is Groom Luke’s brother, so it was a great honour to be apart of the day and see so many familiar faces along the way!

SOVP are no strangers to a destination wedding, having filmed abroad many times. So because of this experience, we knew that planning was a really important factor to a sucessful film. Stunning newlyweds Molly and Luke were in the process of moving from America during the planning of their wedding to Dublin, Ireland. So after a few emails back and forth and a final skype meeting closer to the big day we were all set, prepped and on the plane to Cork. From there we travelled across to Tipperary to the gorgeous location of The Glen of Aherlow which is a valley located between Slievenamuck and the Galtee Mountains in the western part of County Tipperary.

As expected, we were welcomed with open arms and from the very start of the filming of Molly’s morning bridal prep the day was set to be great. Once the Catholic ceremony was done and the ‘I Do’s’ were said we were all off the perfect recpetion venue Aherlow House Hotel & Lodges

The drinks flowed and the atmosphere was amazing. A highlight for us was taking Molly, Luke and their bridal party for a photo/film session to capture some fun and candid shots of them all in some nearby scenic locations. Not before long the party was in full swing and in true Irish/American style the party was energetic and alot of fun!

We wish Molly and Luke all the very best in their new chapter as a married couple and hope that their wedding film keeps them forvever young in Tipperary!x

Stella & Tom's gorgeous Greek occasion at Micklefield

24 October 2019

Stella and Tom’s wedding was simply amazing! The love, care and thought into each aspect of their day was perfect. We had met with the couple at Stella’s parents home nearly a year prior the big day. The meeting was very relaxed and the fun loving and caring vibe showed in their planning of the wedding itself.

With Stella’s Greek background the day was enriched with all the traditions of a perfect Greek wedding; from the ceremony being held at the stunning Twelve Apostles Church in Brookmans Park and then with the fabulous Greek Band Midas Touch to set the party alight!

For a film maker this day was a delight with many different aspects to capture.

The reception was held at Micklefield Hall near Rickmansworth. SOVP are no strangers to this wonderful venue and the team were as always welcoming and so professional on the day. As the drinks flowed and the pictures were taken by ace photographer Andew Prod, we felt like guests throughout and before we knew it the traditional Greek dancing was happening and the energy was high! A highlight for us was definitely the Money Dance. This is when the couple dance to the bands music and their loved ones pin rolls of money to them until they are covered in money.

It has been a real pleasure making the wedding film of Stella and Tom we wish them and their families all the very best for the future!x

Lauren & Ben with love from The Chateau Provence, France

07 October 2019

Welcome to Provence in the beautiful village of Saint Maximin where gorgeous Lauren and Ben decided to tie the knot. We have to admit that as far as destination weddings go, they can’t really get much better than the wonderful occasion these two UK based newlyweds organised.

As a film team SOVP arrived acouple of days prior the big day to ensure we were at the location and to capture some lovely establishing shots of the venue and the surrounding areas. We had met Lauren and Ben at a wedding show in Hertfordshire many months before the big day. It was clear they were both very much excited for the special occasion and for SOVP a destination wedding is a film makers dream.

The day was filled with love and laughter headed by a fantastic team of people which organise weddings at this perfect Chateau. For more info on the Chateau Provence click here.

SOVP ensured coverage was captured from the bridal prep all the way until the dance floor was packed celebrating with the live band performing.

We wish Lauren and Ben all the very best for the future and hope that their wedding film serves as a lovely reminder of such a gorgeous day in Southern France!x

Micklefield Hall summer love for Chanel & Jamie

25 September 2019

It has been a massive joy to meet these lovely newlyweds Chanel and Jamie and capture their memories on their special occasion.

The location of the wedding was the stunning Micklefield Hall in Rickmansworth. This venue is fabulous and is truly a pleasure to film at with the gardens and stunning barn.

Gorgeous bride Chanel wanted the bridal preparations filmed and, for film makers of weddings, this is always a fabulous way to start the film and it also gives the groom a much needed insight to that magical morning.

Dashing groom Jamie was more than happy for us to capture natural shots during the guest arrivals and just prior the wedding ceremony. And again, this is a wonderful part to film because the bride gets to see how her loved ones all congregated just before the main event!

As the day and happy tears flowed we managed to head out inbetween the drinks reception and captured some nice couple shots during the photo session. The atmosphere throughout was upbeat and full of love. A highlight for us was definitely the party and then taking some shots during that gorgeous summer sunset.

Chanel and Jamie were simply a joy to film and get to know. We wish them all the very best in their marriage, health and happiness together and hope they enjoy re-living where it all started for many years to come!x

Your Wedding Film Story, Captured with Love...

We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.

Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.

This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.

Please read our stories of how we experienced our lovely wedding couples’ days…
