When it comes to capturing a wedding we are very proud to say, that we love every second. Michaela and Nicky’s special occasion and more a Jewish wedding special occasion, was simply AMAZING!
Filmed at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans. The day was full of emotion and yet the party was so vibrant. We had been contacted by Tracy (mother of the bride) almost a year before the actual wedding date. After a lovely chat on the telephone we were hired and could not wait to start planning for the film.
We love filming Jewish weddings at Sopwell House. The team always have things under control, but for this wedding Jango the toastmaster was on hand to give us, the other suppliers and also the guests the peace of mind that all ran smoothly.
For us filming the party was certainly a highlight and which is why in the highlights reel we added alot more shots that usual from the dancefloor. With live music to set the scene, the dance floor never empty and the guests dancing away like no one was watching, it was just the perfect way to film a celebration.
We wish both Michaela & Nicky and their familes all the very best for the futures and hope that their wedding day film gives them a lovely reminder of the start of this special chapter!xxView Video & Comments
Two of the most lovely people are Emma & Geoff. These two made this wedding what it truly was. Love, laughter, smiles and sincere fun! It was such a pleasure being present and capturing their very special occasion.
As recommended videography suppliers to Offley Place, it was fitting that we met these newlyweds ‘to be’ at the Offley Place wedding show around 8 months before the wedding. After some questions about our services and a nice chat we were booked up and could not wait to start planning for the film. Groom Geoff, if you had not noticed, is from across the pond in America and had mentioned family and friends were travelling some distance to attend the big day. So for us, capturing the memories was even more important and needed.
The day was of course set at Offley Place Country House Hotel for a Civil wedding followed by a reception party. The atmosphere was so friendly and fun loving. We felt like guests too! The Sovp team filmed from the morning shots with the bride and stayed until the dancefloor was packed!
Getting to know Emma & Geoff has been a pleasure. We hope that their wedding video serves as a nice reminder of their new chapter together and as the years go by they are able to look back with warm hearts. Best wishes, Martin and the SOVP team!xView Video & Comments
The love was truly in the air at Ashridge House for Sammie & Richard. These really lovely newlyweds were a joy to meet and film on their special occasion.
Bride Sammie had made contact with SOVP quite early on in the planning of her wedding after she had watched another video we had filmed at this stunning location. We recall her being very impressed with the drone video of Ashridge House and was keen to include this at her very own wedding too. SOVP are proud recommended suppliers at Ashridge House and the team are always so professional and welcoming.
The day itself, for October time in England, was very kind and the sun was shining. This made capturing some stunning shots of the couple and the venue very easy and enjoyable. We had a lot of laughs and fun filming the couple photo session with great guy and photographer Matthew Bishop. He is a true gent and a very acomplished photographer too. Check out Matthew Bishop Photography to see what we mean.
The speeches were very emotional and the party was entertained by a live band performing loads of well known rock and pop hits. The perfect end to the night and the film!
Overall, we have been delighted to capture the very special occasion of Sammie & Richard. We hope their wedding film is cherished for many years to come!xView Video & Comments
A dream wedding for Katerina & Terry! On the eve of Autumn, this September wedding held at the lovely London Shenley Club, was a delight to capture.
The newlyweds were truly fun loving and were so relaxed and happy on their special occasion; it made us feel so welcome and free to capture the memories for them too. The love and support from their guests was very evident too. Sovp are no strangers to the London Shenley Club, which is formally known as the Shenley Cricket Centre. We have filmed their in the past and the team are excellent and the venues view of the cricket ground; make for a really interesting day with lots of fun aspects to look at too.
We started the film nearby at Sopwell House Hotel, where we met with gorgeous bride Katerina and her bridemaids who were getting ready for the bridal party preparations. This is always a great way to start the story of the day because this is where is all begins!
Once the guests had arrived and Groom Terry was welcoming everyone; the day was in full flow. As an event film company, stayed discreet and simply captured all the fabulous moments that happened to ensure the story was told.
Working alongside superstar photographer Patrick, from Patrick The Photographer, was as always a match made in heaven. His fun, professional and overall happy character made the day even better for us and the guests. We fully recommend all couples meet with him at his studio in Hertford before booking anyone else.
It has been such a pleasure capturing the wedding for these lovely people and we hope they enjoy re-living their wedding day on the screen for many years to come!xView Video & Comments
We think its safe to say that Billie and Luke chose well with their wedding venue! Braxted Park was simply gorgeous, as are these lovely people. A year later than planned, due to Billie and Luke starting a beautiful family, the wedding day was finally here; and SOVP could not wait to start capturing the memories for them.
We were new to Braxted Park Weddings so as film makers its important to be one step ahead, so we visited the venue acouple of the days prior the special occasion to check the place out and to become more familiar. It paid off, as we managed to capture some lovely establishing shots early on in the day to really set the scene.
Filming alongside the really lovely and popular Binky of Binky Nixon photography was great too. We hit it off and managed to both blend in the background whilst the day unfolded and stayed creative all the way.
After the church wedding the party was in full swing. For us the dancefloor was the place to be and we managed to capture some stunning glidecam shots of all the guests celebrating the night away.
BIllie & Luke have been a pleasure to meet and get to know on what really was their special occasion!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
