Its easy to capture memories if its what you love doing. Well we could not say that statement any louder because we love being able to capture memories for our clients. It truly is a pleasure to be asked to film a wedding day.
We know that the effort you have put into your day (and relationships) will shine on film and so it lives on for many years. The SOVP team is growing every year and we are delighted to welcome on board such amazing and talented videographers and film editors.
Its lovely to share a written blog with you, but sharing a 4 minute film trailer showing only a fraction of the beautiful weddings and events we were asked to film in the past 12 months is even more fun and rewarding.
As always, thank you for your love, encouragement, recommendations and enjoying our films.
Remember, life is short. So keeping your special occasions alive forever is an honour.
Best wishes and hope to see you soon, Martin and the SOVP team!xView Video & Comments
Well it was a wonderful winters day at South Farm for Mikela & Michael and their gorgeous young family. Sovp were delighted to capture the memories for them too. We are no strangers to South Farm and so capturing this very unique location in all seasons is simply a joy!
We met up with Mikela & Michael at the Sovp studio just after they were recommended to us by their photographer Nicola Norton, whom we know well and love working with. Nicola’s relaxed and fun approach to weddings makes the day one to remember. After discussing the wedding plans over a cuppa at the studio; we could not wait to get started and film the event.
A highlight for us was seeing Groom Michael arrive suited and booted with his son Teddy. It will be a lovely memory, we are sure, for Teddy to see one day that he was there with his daddy on such a big occasion walking side by side. Overall the atmosphere on the day was filled with love and laughter. South Farm provided the charm of not only its setting but also the amazing staff they have ensuring all runs to time and plan!
The newlyweds braved some shots around the Farm, in the cold winters weather, which is always a treat because South Farm really is a wonderful film set too!
We wish Mikela and Michael all the very best and thank them for allowing us to capture their special occasion!xView Video & Comments
Hayley & Nicky pulled out all the stops for their amazing day. It truly was a day of love, emotion and laughter.
Bride Hayley had contacted SOVP having found us from a friends recommendation and soon arranged a meeting for herself and Nicky to meet up with us and talka bout their wedding day and of course their wedding film.
The backdrop, or film set, for the day was the Adam & Eve Pub in Mill Hill and with this stunning family location, especially on New Years Eve; its really easy to set just the right mood for a special occasion. The ceremony was Catholic and was only a stones throw from the reception venue too.
A highlight for us was certianly the live band and party to count in the New Year. The atmosphere was electric and filled with love and laughter. The dancefloor did not empty even for a second!
We wish Hayley and Nicky love, health and of course a true happiness in their lives together and hope that their wedding film is something themselves and their loved ones go back to time and time again to remember that special occasion.View Video & Comments
Soraya & Harry and two lovely people who we had the pleasure to meet up with at the studio just months before their special day. Sovp were introduced to the couple by the splendid Hertford based photographer Patrick Bennett; whom we love to spend the day with as its always a great team effort. It was clear from the word ‘go’ that the newlyweds day was going to awesome and it really was a day filled with love, laughter and emotion!
The backdrop, or film set, for the day was the very wonderful Gaynes Park in Epping, Essex and with this stunning location its really easy to set just the right mood for a special occasion. We are no strangers to this fabulous venue and its always a pleasure to film at Gaynes Park.
A highlight on the day for us was definitely capturing the first look of the Father of the bride seeing his daughter just prior the ceremony. As we say, this is film gold! The Sovp camera team captured everything from the morning preparations all the way until the guests were celebrating the night away.
We wish Soraya & Harry love, health and of course a truehappiness in their lives together and hope that their wedding film is somethingthemselves and their loved ones go back to time and time again to remember that
Katie and Graeme pulled out all the stops for their amazing day. It truly was a day of love, emotion and laughter.
Bride Katie had contacted SOVP having found us online and soon arranged a meeting for herself and Graeme to meet up with us and talk about their wedding day and of course their wedding film.
It was very clear from the outset that this day was going to be a very emotional day for them both, as Katie’s parents were sadly no longer with us. Katie had prepared a poem to read in honour of her parents and there was not a dry eye in the room.
The photography was by The Reportage Company and Matt was great to work alongside and very easy going/pro as ever.
Traditionally the bride will walk down the aisle towards her future husband with a family member. However, Katie and Graeme decided to do things their own way by having Graeme stand at the door of the ceremony room with the guests behind him and stunning
bride Katie being revealed as the doors opened; with the couple then walking hand in hand together down the aisle. SOVP really wanted to convey this moment on film forever so we set out and planned 3 camera shots for this moment alone. It was a very wonderful moment and a really lovely way to do things.
The backdrop, or film set, for the day was the very grand Down Hall Country Hotel and with this stunning location its really easy to set just the right mood for a special occasion.
A highlight for us was the firework display and for a November wedding it was simply perfect.
We wish Katie and Graeme love, health and of course a true happiness in their lives together and hope that their wedding film is something themselves and their loved ones go back to time and time again to remember that special occasion.View Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
