What an absolutely fun loving couple! We had a real blast capturing the amazing summers day at Fanhams Hall for Charlotte and Ben. Alongside the highly talented Nicola Norton as the photographer; we were all in our element capturing and savouring the moments throughout this joyous summers day.
Charlotte and Ben made things very easy for us as they just had a great time with their loved ones. This always allows our natural videography style to shine. The day started early for us to catch the morning sun with some outside shots around the venue and at the agreed time the bridal prep shots started. Not before long the guests and dashing groom Ben arrived and the emotional walk down the aisle of the bridal party was soon to happen. There was not a dry eye in the Long Gallery!
As the drinks reception and toasts were complete we took the couple off for some lovely fun and romantic shots around the stunning grounds of Fanhams Hall. Magician Lee Smith had the guests mesmerised with his unique close up magic and the Fanhams Hall team dressed the Great Hall perfectly.
We have really enjoyed getting to know Charlotte and Ben and capturing them on what was their amazing wedding. The day was one of our favourites and one we will remember for many years too!xView Video & Comments
Two beautiful people were married on this amazing occasion. Samantha and Marcus and their lovely family have been a real pleasure to get to know and of course film on their special occasion. We were proudly recommended by top London Photographer David from Big Day Weddings; and after a few emails from bride Samantha we were soon hired as wedding videographers for the big day itself!
London based Sam and Marcus met up with us at the SOVP studio in Hertfordshire acouple of months before their wedding day. This is always advised as its never good to take things to chance on such a special and important occasion; it also gives us all a chance to relate too as on the day itself we work very discreetly. During our meeting, after a cup of tea or two, we could tell instantly that the wedding was going to be wonderful and filled with love.
The ceremony was filmed at the grand St Georges Cathedral in Southwark. The space was vast and for this reason it allowed us to capture some great shots during the service without distracting anyone. Once the ‘I Do’s’ were complete it was off to the party in Dulwich in the old style red bus, which we tagged along in for the ride along with Big Day Wedding photographers David and Joanne, all the way to Belair House. We managed to capture some lovely moments with the newlyweds on the grounds of Belair House and this followed on to some fun classic candid moments of their guests too.
We wish Samantha, Marcus and their beautiful family all the best wishes in their lives together. We hope that their wedding film is something they will all cherish forever xView Video & Comments
Bryony & Vince hosted the most amazing wedding day and we were very proud to be a part of it too. From the very beginning after meeting the newlyweds at the studio; it was clear that their special day was really important to them. The day started with highlight coverage of the bridal and groom preparations. These shots always feel like a ‘behind the scenes’ part of the film. It also gives the couple a chance to see eachothers morning preparations before they finally re-unite for the ceremony.
The Catholic service was wonderful and very traditional too and set the tone for the day. After the confetti was thrown and the now Mr & Mrs were married it was time to head off to the stunning Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans for the reception party. SOVP are no strangers to Sopwell House having filmed many weddings at this perfect venue in the past. And of course, in true Sopwell House style the staff were on top form and everything came together like clockwork. Anyone looking for a grand location for a wedding or event needs to see this place as its truly first class.
With the Italian dancing being a highlight for us; the dance floor was kept busy with a band, a violinist and resident DJ Mr H entertained and kept the dancefloor packed!
Neal Houghton was the photographer on the day and with his wit, fun and friendly manner we, as usual, had a blast capturing the memories for the happy couple.
We wish both Bryony and Vince all the luck and love in the world and thank them again for allowing SOVP to be a part of their special occasion!xView Video & Comments
We were up early on the day of Laura & James’ wedding day. Why I hear you ask? The simple answer is that we love our job and capturing a day in the life, especially when its a wedding, has to be done properly, with as much time and attention to detail as possible. So there we were capturing some shots on the Kings Road in London’s swanky SW3 all ready for the arrival of the lovely newlyweds and their guests.
The Chelsea Town Hall is basically a registry office. But as you can see it looks pretty grand right with many lovely people getting married there daily. A big part of our day was also capturing the bridal preparations. This was happening in Enfield at Laura’s parents home and the place was buzzing with excitement for the day which was to follow. SOVP always recommends that the bridal prep is filmed. It might seem scary, but believe us there are just so many memories worth keeping from it.
After the amazing wedding and the couple had said I do; Laura and James remained in Chelsea for a private photoshoot with top London Wedding Photographers Big Day Weddings and we, along with the guests, were all off the the Woodhurst Stables in Enfield for the reception. The party was vibrant and full of love! Laura even chose to have her own Horse be part of the day too; and as you can see the horse not shy of our camera either!
We wish both Laura and James’ all the very best and thank them for allowing us to capture their special occasion, its been a pleasure!xView Video & Comments
What an amazing wedding! We have been delighted to be a part of Emma & Andrew’s special occasion. A beautiful couple with a really fun loving and relaxed approach made filming their special day at South Farm fantastic and memorable.
Sovp are recommended suppliers at South Farm in Royston so coming back here is always a treat and really does feel like home. The team at South Farm are fun and very professional to work alongside too on such an important occasion. Every wedding we capture at this special venue is so unique.
When newlyweds Emma & Andrew met with us at the studio for their pre-wedding video meeting, which we organise usually the month prior the wedding date, they were really on top of the planning and included some lovely moments for us to capture. A key moment for us was filming the traditional Greek money dance. This is a tradition where the happy couple dance to the Greek band whilst family and friends pin money to the couple as gifts for their wedding day. It gets very busy on the dance floor and the atmosphere is truly electric. Another part of the day we love to capture is the ‘first look’ from the brides father seeing the lovely bride for the first time. Its always a great moment and very special.
Its been a pleasure capturing the special moments for Emma & Andrew and getting to know them too. We hope that their special day remains with them forever on film xxView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
