What an absolutely fun loving couple! It was alot of joy to capture Harriet and James special day at The Great Tythe Barn in the Cotswolds. We love a roadtrip and heading to this stunning part of the country was a pleasure.
Newlyweds Harriet and James made things very easy for us as they just had a great time with their loved ones and this meant we could capture the love and follow the day in film easily.
The day started early for us to catch some outside shots around the venue and at the agreed time the bridal prep shots started. Not before long the guests and dashing groom James and his groomsmen arrived. As the drinks reception and toasts were complete we took the couple off for some lovely fun and romantic shots around the stunning grounds of this beautiful venue.
The team at The Great Tythe Barn were very welcoming and so this made the filming day more fun and memorable. Sovp truly recommends this wonderful venue if you are planning a wedding in the Cotswolds,
We have really enjoyed getting to know Harriet and James and capturing them on what was their amazing wedding. Its been hard to watch their highlights film back without shedding a tear or two!xView Video & Comments
Beautiful Kim and dashing groom Matthew planned their amazing day at the simply breathtaking Ashridge House. What a truly fabulous occasion it was too.
We had met Northampton based bride Kim at a wedding show at Ashridge House only months before the wedding; and after some emails and some ideas for the film sent back and forth we were ready and planning to capture the occasion. Sovp are proud recommended suppliers to Ashridge House and as you can see it makes the perfect backdrop for any film set. We were lucky enough to have Gary Nunn Photography capture some stunning aerial drone footage of the venue; which really serve some wonderful establishing shots of where we were. We fully recommend all clients to have some drone shots captured as it really does enhance your film.
The weather was up and down on the day, but in true wedding style ‘the show must go on’ and once the guests arrived the atmosphere was filled with love and support for the newlyweds. The Ashridge House team were excellent throughout and all was to time.
The speeches were a highlight for us as the words from Kim’s father were very heartfelt and groom Matthews was very funny and emotional too.
Working alongside photographer Marcus of Marcus Charter Photography was wonderful. He is a real gent and fun to work with on such an important day too.
We wish Kim and Matthew all the very best wishes for the future and hope that their wedding film serves as a lasting reminder of that special day and where it all began for this new chapter xxView Video & Comments
A truly fabulous Greek wedding for newlyweds Bambos and Shellene! FIlmed at the very well known Twelve Apostles Greek Church in Brookmans Park and then onto the very grand pavillion at Orsett Hall Hotel in Essex.
Many wonderful moments were captured on this day. For us a big highlight was the morning blessing at the Grooms parents home; where the best man traditionally shaves and dresses the Groom whilst the family gather around them. The other was the very generous money dance. This is a really amazing Greek tradition where the bride and groom dance whilst family and friends pin money to their clothing. What a way to begin married life right?!
Both Bambos and Shellene met with us at the studio nearly a year before their special occasion. Sovp were introduced to them by Greek wedding photographer Andrew Prod who is a close friend of Special Occasion Video Productions; and after a good chat and a cupper we were looking forward to the big day. They were both awesome fun on the day and made it really easy and natural for us too.
We wish them all the luck, love and happiness life can bring; and hope that their wedding film is something they will cherish as a keepsake for many more years to come!xView Video & Comments
Filming at South Farm is always a lovely experience. The staff are friendly, the venue itself inside is very elegant and the vast grounds are beautiful and landscaped. So when the lovely newlyweds Carmel and George told us they were getting married and wanted us to capture their day at South Farm it was simply perfect and we could not wait to get planning for their wedding film. It was obvious after meeting them at the studio to discuss their wedding plans they were both very much in love and looking forward to their special occasion.
The guests created a warm and happy atmosphere and we managed to capture some fun candid moments whilst the photo sessions were going on. The highlight for us seeing how natural and fun the newlyweds were together during their couple photo session. This experience is always best served natural and light to give the best results on film. It was a pleasure to be part of that moment.
No wedding film happens well without great support from suppliers to work along side and Lee Smith who was the magician on the day and also photographer Terri from Summer Lily Studio made the day fun and also added some great touches/personality to the occasion.
We have no doubt that Carmel and George pulled off the most amazing wedding day and wishing them best wishes now and in the many years to come!xView Video & Comments
I think its safe to say that the wedding of Donna and Ryan has been such a highlight to our wedding season. These two are just such easy going, fun and vibrant people to meet and make a sweet couple. Filming them on their special day was easy and even though the weather turned wet just after the ceremony the atmosphere of the day remained upbeat and loving.
Bride Donna chose late in the day (a week before the wedding) to have her bridal preparations filmed. As film makers we were sooooo glad that she did. Having the morning bridal prep highlights captured really does tell the story of the day and sets the scene perfectly for all wedding films.
The wedding was all filmed at the Coltfoot Country Retreat in Datchworth. The ceremony was light hearted and after the emotional readings there really wasn’t a dry eye in the place!
Despite the rain SOVP captured some brief couple shots during the photocall with ever fun Belle Momenti Photography just before the wedding breakfast; and we were even lucky enough to capture some evening shots outside the barns too with the couple. The speeches were emotional mixed with good humour and hearing the proud words from the Father of the Bride was certainly a highlight. A massive shout to the amazing DJs Lee and Ian from So Discos who provided all the lighting, music and a energised dance floor during the evenng party!
Its been a complete pleasure getting to know the newlyweds and we truly wish them all the very best in this next chapter together!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
