What an amazing wedding! We have been delighted to be a part of Emma & Andrew’s special occasion. A beautiful couple with a really fun loving and relaxed approach made filming their special day at South Farm fantastic and memorable.
Sovp are recommended suppliers at South Farm in Royston so coming back here is always a treat and really does feel like home. The team at South Farm are fun and very professional to work alongside too on such an important occasion. Every wedding we capture at this special venue is so unique.
When newlyweds Emma & Andrew met with us at the studio for their pre-wedding video meeting, which we organise usually the month prior the wedding date, they were really on top of the planning and included some lovely moments for us to capture. A key moment for us was filming the traditional Greek money dance. This is a tradition where the happy couple dance to the Greek band whilst family and friends pin money to the couple as gifts for their wedding day. It gets very busy on the dance floor and the atmosphere is truly electric. Another part of the day we love to capture is the ‘first look’ from the brides father seeing the lovely bride for the first time. Its always a great moment and very special.
Its been a pleasure capturing the special moments for Emma & Andrew and getting to know them too. We hope that their special day remains with them forever on film xxView Video & Comments
Capturing the wedding of beautiful Sarah and Alastair has been a delight. We were invited along with their guests to Blagdon Village, a gorgeous village in Northern Somerset, and it was like a mini adventure from the start. As a film company SOVP are based in Hertfordshire so we arrived the day prior the wedding to ensure we were local and had a look at the locations ready for the big day.
The filming for us started at a wonderful bridal suite barn conversion where we were met by the the bridal party all getting ready for the day ahead. Our style is always natural with a hint of cinematic effect for good measure; and to be honest with the atmosphere and locations chosen by the newlyweds; this was all made relatively easy for us!
Once the church ceremony was completed and the happy couple were married we were all off to the reception at the Coombe Lodge in Blagdon. The venue was stunning and the team were ace!
It was obvious that the afternoon celebrations were going to continue pefectly into the night with a great band too. The support and love for this couple was truly evident and the speeches were very VERY emotional! Especially for the actor Groom Alastair who (just about) held it together to say some lovely words.
It has been a pleasure being a part of such a special occasion. We hope that the memories captured on film on the day will serve a lifetime of fondness and smiles! xxView Video & Comments
What can we say!? Its been simply a pleasure capturing and then making the wedding of Grace & JJ come back to life on the screen. The occasion was beautiful and the newlyweds shined all the way through with their family and friends. The location for the wedding was at Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester, Kent. Sovp had never filmed there before and on those occasions we always arrive the day before to explore the venue and to ensure we are closeby the day prior such an important occasion.
Grace and JJ are very easy going and fun loving people, so filming them was easy. The atmosphere was filled with love and laughter and all the elements of a great wedding came together.
We were lucky to have a delightful sunset in the later evening and so the couple, us and the photographer Tom Halliday had a blast capturing some wonderful moments in the sunset. These motion shots can be seen at the start and the very end of the highlights trailer.
Sovp wish Grace and JJ all the very best in the future and hope that their wedding film serves a perfect reminder of what was a truly amazing wedding. Just wish we could all do it again!xView Video & Comments
Steph & Sean are the most beautiful couple. It was a pleasure capturing them on film and documenting what truly was a very memorable wedding day.
Sovp were recommended to them from friends and family and after a meeting at the studio nearly one year before the big day; it was clear from the start we were going to really enjoy this special day.
The wedding day started for Sovp at the Church in Hatfield Heath and once the tears of joy were shed, from all, the confetti was thrown and we were all off to the reception party at the tranquil Maidens Barn in nearby Essex. This was a first visit to the Maidens Barn for Sovp and so it was great to see and work along side familiar faces Neal Houghton Photography and the PianoDJ. Neal is a true gent and really works in a similar style to us. James from the PianoDJ had the dancefloor busy all night and his set was awesome!
Our wedding videography style is very natural, so during the reception Martin & Tom (our camera team) remained out of the way and captured all the ‘fly on the wall’ candid moments. After the speeches, we were lucky enough to catch the ‘magic hour’ sunset from the landscape of Maidens Barn and believe us when we say, it was amazing. Steph and Sean were in their element dancing and having fun whilst we were able to capture some lovely, and we are sure, treasured film footage for many years to come.
As predicted, its been an absolute pleasure to create the wedding film for Steph & Sean. Two lovely people whom we wish only the very best in health and happiness in the future xView Video & Comments
What an amazing day fun packed day we were truly thrilled to capture for stunning bride Ofuma and dashing groom Patrick! The London based newlyweds decided to have their special day filmed pretty close to their big day too. So after a quick video meeting with them; for us to meet and discuss their wedding plans, it was clear to us that they were both lovely and really excited about their up and coming wedding day in London at the St Anns Church in Tottenham and then off to the countryside of Tewin Bury Farm Meadow Barn for the reception celebration.
The Sovp team were capturing the day from early in the day with the bridal preparations (at a nearby hotel) and stayed on until the party was lively in the Meadow Barn at Tewin Bury Farm. The atmosphere was a delight and the love on this day for the newlyweds from their family and friends was truly evident from start to finish. We were pleased to add the SOVP cinematic touch to the film with track, glide and crane shots too!
Also, we were thrilled to have photographer Ivan Finch, from Town and County Photographic, working alongside us and as ever Ivan was professional, friendly and fun to have around.
Its been a joy to make Ofuma and Patrick’s wedding come back to life on the screen and we hope that the memories stay with them in film for many many many happy years ahead!xView Video & Comments
We all love a good wedding. And lets face it, it is one of the most emotional days a person can experience. Whether you’re a guest, a family member or a supplier for the wedding couple, we all have a different story to tell about how they got there and tied the knot.
Special Occasion Videos meets with soon-to-be newlyweds sometimes years before their special day. Usually over a cup of tea in the studio, we discuss their plans of how their wedding day will be and what their wedding film will look like.
This is a lovely moment for us because on the day we mostly blend in so we can capture events naturally and allow the occasion to unfold.
